EXTRACTO FLUIDO DE ORTHOSIPHON ARISTATUS BLUME POR REFLUJO A ESCALA INDUSTRIAL / Fluidextract of Orthosiphon aristatus Blume by reflux process to industrial scale

Resumen

Orthosiphon aristatus (Blume), es una importante planta en la medicina tradicional. En Cuba es usada como diurético en el tratamiento de enfermedades. El extracto fluido al 30% se utiliza como ingrediente activo en la elaboración de medicamentos. Tradicionalmente es por método de percolación. El objetivo de este trabajo fue establecer un proceso tecnológico mediante extracción por reflujo. Los resultados mostraron que el proceso tecnológico es reproducible y homogéneo a escala industrial. Fueron obtenidos lotes de extractos con la calidad requerida.

Abstract

Orthosiphon aristatus (Blume) is an important plant in traditional folk medicine. In Cuba, this plant as diuretic in the treatment of illnesses is used. The 30 % fluidextracts as active ingredient in the elaboration of medications are used. Traditionally, the extracts are elaborate by percolation method. The objective of this work was to establish a technological process by reflux extraction to technological process. The results showed that technological process is reproducible and homogeneous to industrial scale. They were lots of extracts obtained with the required quality.
